iPower Review:

At the time of this iPower review they are hosting over 700,000 websites in more than 150 countries, putting them amongst the top ten in the web hosting industry. That alone speaks for itself as to their popularity and customer satisfaction. iPower provides some of the highest levels of security available and a 24/7 toll free number for customer support.

At iPower they have maintained a number of web hosting plans for you to choose from, enabling you to choose the plan that is right for you. At iPower they understand that the one plan fits all idea isn't really too. Different websites need different features and focus. Each plan provides all the basic free web hosting features that you will need for any type of website, but the Pro Plan provides additional features for professionals and the Site & Store plan provides additional ecommerce features for ecommerce websites.

To take advantage of the cheapest web hosting price you will have to sign up for at least 12 months. The 12 month plan is also required to take advantage of the free setup and free domain name registration. But iPower does provide a 30 day money back guarantee for all their web hosting plans.

iPower operates two data centers with a combined 2,400 square feet of space and more than 800 servers with 1/2 a petabyte of storage space. Additional services offered by iPower include domain registration, website hosting, virtual servers, dedicated servers, marketing solutions, and professional services.

1 stars    Some good features and very reasonable price, however iPower can not get the statistics module work for my domain. Nothing refreshes, and I pretty much needs to open a ticket to get my statistics. Pretty bad for a webhosting company, unless you don`t care about the traffic going through your website. Is it only a problem with my domain? I am disappointed so far and regret the choice. Good if your purpose is only to post stuff and not monitor traffic. If marketing is important for you (any Ecommerce website), I would not recommend, unless they find a fix.

1 stars    In the past year our website was hacked twice. And we got blamed for that although their servers are storing passwords and they shut down our email service and website. We have issues with emails at least twice a month. It`s hard to upload anything with ftp, tech support in India is terrible, they don`t speak English, their knowledge is laughable. They didn`t know what hard or symbolic links were. Backup tools don`t work, they want extra money for additional utilities that basically do nothing. Stay away from that company.

1 stars    Routine e-mail outages of up to a day. Tech support wait times are never less than 30 minutes, sometimes up to 2 hours. Techs are unknowledgeable and rude. I`ve even been hung up on several times. We have been with this company for two years. The first year, they were great. The second year has been a nightmare. If I didn`t work for a non-profit, we would have cut out losses and switched mid-year.

4 stars    iPowerWeb has some great features that I like. They have the vDeck control panel which is very easy to use where it integrates my domain name management into the control area. When I first signed up with them they were charging about $7.95/mo, but they have dropped about every year that I renew with iPower. The hold times for customer support at iPowerWeb are kind of long sometimes, but when I call at non-peak times - it`s ok. I`ve been really impressed overall with iPowerWeb.
