We use GoDaddy for our host at work, and I think they`re fantastic. I have never experienced downtime, nor have any of our site users reported downtime. Customer support is fast, and if you`re on Twitter, all you have to do is ping @GoDaddy with a question! They`ve never been anything less than helpful and gracious when I`ve spoken with their customer support reps.
I had a GoDaddy Hosting account about 1 year ago. The plan was ok because I didn`t need much in the way of space and traffic. They had decent uptime, but they were always sending me junk mail and had far too many upsells for various add-ons. With a GoDaddy domain name you also get mailboxes and GoDaddy Webmail which was pretty decent. They had a nice cheap hosting plan, but I required more support - which was not toll-free. So with this cost added in coupled with extremely long hold times - I ended up paying much more during that time. So I switched to BlueHost for the toll-free support. The GoDaddy control panel was ok, but since they offered so many products it got a bit confusing on where to go at times. Note to GoDaddy: Get TOLL FREE SUPPORT!
